The Same Deep Water as You is a programme of live art which I curated with Darren Nixon, debuted as a full-venue takeover of PINK on Saturday 31 May 7pm-midnight. 

The event took place a year on from our residency at Pase Platform, Venice, during the 2024 Biennale, where we created our acclaimed performance Host. In revisiting this body of work, we decided to invite a programme of 14 other artists to join us in reenacting, reimagining and invoking memories of their own past performances.

Spanning all three floors of PINK, the evening unfolded as a large-scale immersive experience. Visitors were free to roam throughout the building, encountering a wide variety of time-based artworks across a range of surprising settings and formats including an audio installation in a toilet stall, a techno gig performed through a window, an immersive walking tour of Stockport and a room of gloved hands writhing across a floor.
