Elsie and Hannah [2015]
Single channel digital film

Inspired by American choreographer Trisha Brown's solo piece Accumulation. Made with Hannah Buckley and Elsie Brown, Hannah’s nana.

The piece was part of Accumulations, a project coordinated by Dani Abulhawa, Hannah Buckley, Sarah Spies and Amy Voris, which was built around the four themes of women’s work, intergenerational exchange, gendered space and archival practices. Funded and supported by Arts Council England, Dance Manchester and Yorkshire Dance with additional support from the Scared Sounds Women's Choir and The Whitworth Art Gallery.

The piece has been written about in Maternal Performance, Feminist Relations by Lena Šimić and Emily Underwood-Lee, published by Palgrave MacMillan, 2022.
